Canberra Farm Stays and B&Bs |
|
|
Canberra is the capital city of Australia. Much happens there and it is a great place to visit. Various museums remind us of our past as well as a Government House trying to shape our future. The country surrounding Canberra is very good rainfall country with very heavy stock carrying capacity. Very fine wools are also grown around Canberra and there are some excellent wineries available in the area as well. Our Meet & Greet service operates from this airport to all local properties.

Meet n Greet available.
Imagine the comforts of a fine hotel, combined with the personal welcome you'd expect when you stay with friends and you can begin to understand what makes this farm homestead such a unique experience. Frank and Fay your hosts have won both local and national tourism awards for the way they run this beautiful cattle and sheep station in the spectacular Tinderry Mountains - just 45km from Canberra.
Not only will these 5 star hosts collect you from the airport or a hotel in Canberra, they will also supply sumptuous meals if required. They can arrange four-wheel drive tours from Sydney to Melbourne (or vice versa), or coordinate a tour to your specific choice. This is a truly 5 star experience for those who like to travel first class.
There are always cattle to muster, sheep to shear and orphaned animals to bottle-feed. You can join in the work on this successful farming property or simply observe the bustle from your spot by the pool, from the comfort of the luxury four-wheel drive vehicle or from horseback. We have quiet horses available if your riding skills are getting a bit rusty.

About 10km south of Goulburn is this 2,500 acre working sheep and cattle farm - fully operational the owner loves to talk to international visitors and Australians from different backgrounds. His family has lived in this area since 1827 and Phillip has many stories to tell from yesteryear. The sheep station offers a unique trip into traditional Australian country life.

This beautiful garden property is only a short drive from the airport and a few minutes to many wineries and good eating establishments. Recommended by the "Sydney Morning Herald Newspaper" as the region's best by a country mile, the owners have won numerous tourism awards for excellence, one only last year.
For your convenience, all four of the spacious ensuite rooms, including one with disability facilities, are all tastefully decorated and enjoy views of the garden's thriving wetland habitat. You can enjoy this naturally peaceful location in the air-con/heated comfort of your room, relax in the privately enclosed garden courtyard or unwind in the Jacuzzi. Breakfast is provided and, because of the location, many eating houses are close by for your other meals.
